Recovering, Saving, and Sharing Videos On the Nexar App

Check out what awesome things you can do with your drive recordings using the Nexar app.

Nexar saves your drive recordings in multiple residencies. Your Drive recordings are saved on the Videos tab on the Nexar app, and you can watch, trim, and share videos using the many functions within it.

Accessing Nexar One Videos

Nexar One's app interface differs slightly from other Nexar dash cams, including when you're trying to retrieve your drive recordings. If certain parts of the drive are unavailable, the app will provide relevant information to guide you on how to proceed.

The camera icon lets you know that your video was not saved on the Nexar app, rather it is still available on the dash cam.

Simply connect your phone to the dash cam via WIFI and Bluetooth, then press the ‘Save to cloud’ button in order to view moments within that relevant drive and save it to the Cloud forever.

Part of this video is located on your dash cam

If the app and dash cam don’t connect, no worries! The app will indicate which portions of the video are still saved on the dash cam so you can transfer them to the app.

You can access the full video by reconnecting the app to the dash cam to fetch your videos anytime. Make sure to create clips of important moments as soon as possible since these will save to the Cloud and be available whenever you need them.

Both the dash cam and the app use loop recordings to store your videos. This means that older videos will be deleted automatically in order to make space for new ones.

Overwritten by new recordings

If you lose WIFI or Bluetooth connection while the dash cam is streaming videos to your phone, you may find that a portion of your video is no longer available to view. If portions of your video are saved to your phone but have already been overwritten on the dash cam, these portions will  be permanently deleted and will appear greyed out.
