To get users’ feedback, our developers release new app versions or features to a select group of “beta testers”, before they're officially released to the general public. This means that whenever we're working on new features and improvements, beta testers will be the first to try them out.
Important: Keep in mind that the app’s beta versions may be less stable than the following official versions that will be released to the public. This means that the app might crash or that some features might not work properly.
Want to become a beta tester? It's easy.
- Install TestFlight on the phone that you’ll be using for testing.
- Once TestFlight is installed, open this invitation link on your phone.
- Open TestFlight to install or update the Nexar beta version.
We also invite you to join our exclusive Facebook group, Nexar Insiders. This is where we share news about the latest features available for beta testing, along with other news and interesting dashcam videos.
Getting the latest beta version
To update to the latest available beta version, open the TestFlight app and tap on Update. There is no option to set auto-updates for the beta version. The update process should take up to 2 minutes.
Providing feedback to the developer
It’s important to us to hear about your experience with the beta app:
- Launch TestFlight
- Click Send Beta Feedback
- Share your thoughts about the latest features and hit Send
Setting up your notification preferences
We highly recommend keeping your TestFlight app notifications ON so you can always stay up to date with the newest beta versions our developers are releasing, when they’re fresh from the oven! If you prefer to enter the TestFlight app and manually update the app once a week, you can turn off notifications by entering TestFlight and clicking on the Nexar app icon. Scroll down to App Information and toggle off Email Notifications or Push Notifications.
Leaving the beta program
There are no obligations on your end. Follow these steps to easily leave the program whenever you want (though you'll be missed!)
- Launch TestFlight
- Tap Nexar
- Scroll down to the bottom
- Tap Stop Testing
