Set up automatic streaming to enjoy videos available on your phone anytime

About Automatic Streaming

Automatic Streaming allows you to secure your drive recording to your phone so you can create clips even when you are not connected to your dashcam. As soon as your Nexar app detects the dashcam over Bluetooth and WiFi, Nexar streams video directly from the dashcam to your phone.

Enable Automatic Streaming on iOS

Activate the automatic streaming feature by following the instructions below: 

1. Make sure your WiFi and Bluetooth permissions are turned on
2. Go to More > Dashcam > toggle on Automatically start streaming
3. Go to your phone’s settings, click Nexar and enable the following permissions:
   1. Notifications 
   2. Local network
   3. Background app refresh

Enable Automatic Streaming on Android

Activate the automatic streaming feature by following the instructions below: 

1. Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth, WiFi, and Location settings
2. Go to your phone’s settings and enable the following permissions:
   - Location (set to Allow all the time)
   - Physical activity (if you have a continuous power outlet)
   - Notifications
   - Storage
3. Open your phone’s battery settings and disable or exempt Nexar from the following:
   - Battery optimization
   - Background usage limits/restrictions
   - Sleeping apps/Apps put to sleep 
4. Go to More > Dashcam > toggle on Automatically start streaming
